Katja Herbers has been a professional performer since she was a small girl. She is the daughter Vera Beths (violinist) and Werner Herbers (oboist). While growing up Katja Herbers was a part of her mother on a trip across America as part of the chamber group L'Archibudelli. Her mother remarried cellist Anner Bylsma, and her father remarried costume designer Leonie Polak who introduced her to the stage.
