Maureen Denise McCormick is the one child, and the youngest daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th of 1956, in Woodland Hills. Her father taught in the school system, and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three elder brothers. McCormick was an accomplished performer and dancer at the age of 6. She performed puppet shows to the kids in her neighborhood. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six years old, Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency called her asking her if she would like to break into show business. McCormick got her first big breakthrough in the year 1964. McCormick was a part of the television advertisement of Mattel's "Baby Pattaburp,"" that was the latest Mattel doll. The company also ran a commercial in 1964 to promote the "Chatty-Cathy" doll. The following year, she was chosen to play the lead character of The Brady Bunch: Wind It up and It Breaks on the stage of La Jolla Playhouse. McCormick, who was one of more than 1,200 children who auditioned, won the role of the youngest of three twins on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a newlywed couple. The show ran for 5 years. McCormick revealed, in the book, published in 2008 and titled"Here's My Story": The Journey of Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice in 2008, the fact that Barry Williams was her screen brother. The actress was 16 years old and the actor was 19 at that at the time. It would have been possible as she explained. "But the timing for us was never the right one."
